Walton Family Foundation Invests $8 Million in StudentsFirst
April 30, 2013 --The Walton Family Foundation is investing $8 million over two years in StudentsFirst, the national advocacy organization founded by former District of Columbia Public Schools Chancellor Michelle Rhee.
Already, StudentsFirst has successfully helped pass policies nationally, and across 17 states, that will lead to parents having more choices when deciding which publicly funded educational option is best for their child. This investment will allow StudentsFirst to expand its impact, both by increasing member engagement and advocacy efforts, with the goal of ensuring that all students have access to a high-quality school.
