Janell is a strategy, learning, and evaluation officer supporting the K-12 Education Program at the Walton Family Foundation. Janell has more than a decade of experience conducting research and evaluation in education. Most recently, Janell was an Evaluation Project Manager at School Readiness Consulting where she managed early childhood quality evaluations for Head Start grantees and coordinated data collection efforts for an evaluation of early grade literacy instructional strategies. Previously, she focused on K-12 education issues in roles as the director of research and analysis at ImpactTulsa and a research analyst at MDRC.
Janell received her Bachelor of Arts in American History/Sociology from Franklin & Marshall College and her Master of Science in Education Policy from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education. She also completed the Harvard University Strategic Data Project Fellowship.
