Johannah is a program officer for the K-12 Education Program, focusing on the foundation’s grantmaking to support special populations nationally, as well as grantmaking in New York City. Johannah most recently served as the Associate Dean for Innovation, Policy and Research at Bank Street College of Education. Prior to joining Bank Street, Johannah worked for the New York City Department of Education for six years, including time as the chief executive officer of the Special Education division, where she led a citywide reform to special education policy. Johannah is a former middle school math teacher and Teach For America alumna. She earned a Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and a Master’s from Pace University.
