Peter Skidmore is a senior program officer in the Environment Program focusing on the Colorado River initiative. He draws on 25 years’ experience providing design, planning, review and guidance for river restoration and management. Peter has served as river conservation. Previously, Peter was the freshwater Program Director for The Nature Conservancy and most recently he was the principal of Skidmore Restoration Consulting, LLC.

Peter is a licensed professional geologist and has degrees in geology from Macalester College and water resources geography from Montana State University.
