To improve fishery management plans (Planes de Manejos, or PdMs) for four benthic fisheries as tools for change toward sustainable fisheries; to reduce the risk of failed implementation by enhancing the scientific knowledge used in management of each fishery, building capacity among stakeholders, and incorporating the ecosystem-based approach.
To support an initiative to transform Indonesia's pole-and-line and handline tuna sector into an internationally recognized source of sustainable fish.
To develop tools for eco-labels to better implement and work with improvement strategies that help build a pathway to certification (i.e., through fishery improvement projects)
