To continue communication with public water managers and other decision-makers and water leaders within the Upper Colorado River Basin for the purpose of building support for – and focus on – developing tools related to increasing water reliability and security; increasing sustainable funding for water management; advancing stream management plans; and promoting river restoration work.
Support for the Hutchins Water Center in continuing to educate farmers and ranchers about the challenges and benefits of water banking and demand management concepts; and to drive these interests towards consensus and solutions that will address their concerns of these water management tools
To explore opportunities for Environmental Impact Bonds (EIBs) to provide private sector financing for forest treatments that could benefit water resources in Colorado River tributaries in southwest Colorado.
