Measuring the Vitality of Downtowns in Bentonville, Fayetteville, Rogers, Siloam Springs, and Springdale

The Center for Business and Economic Research prepared this report to provide a baseline set of economic indicators to measure the progress generated by the downtown revitalization efforts in five major cities of Northwest Arkansas, namely, Bentonville, Fayetteville, Rogers, Siloam Springs, and Springdale. The economic indicators in this report will be instrumental to the Walton Family Foundation’s ability to measure the impact of their investments in downtown revitalization and place‐making. Indicators for a vibrant downtown include a growing population of residents in the downtown areas and a good mix of residential, commercial, and public space.
