Nguyen is a senior advisor for the K-12 Education Program focused on facilities. As part of the foundation’s Building Equity Initiative, Nguyen will serve Equitable Facilities Fund as loan committee member and Facilities Investment Fund as credit committee member. He joins the team with extensive debt capital markets experience, most recently serving as executive vice president at Gates Capital Corporation. Nguyen’s finance work has encompassed tax exempt bonds, tax credits, variable rate products, bridge loans, letters of credit, liquidity facilities, guarantees, structured capital stacks, revolving loan funds, swaps/hedges, grants and public sector support.
In addition to working at Goldman Sachs and the New York City Municipal Water Finance Authority, Nguyen has also served as facilities chair and board member for Magnolia Charter Schools with ten campuses in Southern California.
Nguyen received his M.P.P. with a concentration in international trade and finance from Harvard Kennedy School and his B.A. in political economy from the University of California at Berkeley. He holds FINRA Series 7, Series 3, Series 50, and Series 63 licenses.
