Nick Hellman is a senior program support associate with the Walton Family Foundation’s Environment Program, where he supports the Markets Initiative. Nick provides operational and programmatic support to foundation staff and grantees, helping ensure effective grantmaking and coordination across teams. He works closely with colleagues and partners to strengthen processes, maintain alignment with program priorities, and contribute to the program’s overall impact.

Before joining the foundation in 2022, he worked at the Impact Development Fund, a Colorado-based Community Development Financial Institution, where he helped launch a natural disaster recovery fund and supported community investment efforts.

He holds a master’s degree in applied geography from the University of Colorado Denver and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Kansas.
