Sean Crotty

Associate General Counsel

Sean Crotty serves as Associate General Counsel, primarily supporting the foundation’s Environment program.   Before joining the foundation, Sean served as Senior Counsel and Special Assistant to the President in the White House Counsel’s Office, where he led the Ethics & Compliance division. He previously held senior legal roles with a presidential campaign, an inaugural committee, and multiple government relations and public affairs firms in Washington, D.C. Throughout his legal career, Sean has counseled clients at the intersection of law, policy, and politics, frequently advising on issues of compliance, advocacy, risk mitigation, and crisis management.         

Sean received his J.D. from Indiana University School of Law and graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in political science from the University of Missouri.
