The Walton Family Foundation is seeking an experienced, skilled, highly motivated, and entrepreneurial individual to join the foundation as a Communications Officer.

About the position:

Specific duties include the following:

  • Manage relationships with program officers to ensure all communications efforts help them reach their programmatic goals.
  • Build relationships with key audience groups, including grantees, influencers and reporters to help advance the foundation’s work
  • Help design earned, owned and paid communications strategies to help reach programmatic goals
  • Generate content for earned, owned, and paid media.
  • Help manage internal calendars to ensure communications efforts complement all program areas and the broader foundation communications strategy.
  • Manage grants to increase awareness of and support for education grantees and the foundation broadly.

This is not a Remote Work position.

Qualifications

Qualifications required for your success

  • At least five years of communications work experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, media relations skills a bonus.

Additional Helpful Experience Includes

  • Experience working on government, political campaigns, or communications agencies.

Benefits Information

Compensation Range: $115,000 - $140,000

Benefits Information: We offer a comprehensive and generous benefits package which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k)-retirement plan and paid time off.
