To bring attention to the consequences of agricultural pollution for drinking water and quality of life, build capacity of organizations in the upper Mississippi River basin to communicate and advocate on water quality issues, and explore innovative approaches to improve the durability of conservation efforts, including remote sensing of cover crops
Continued support for the Mississippi's Lower Delta Partnership (LDP) to continue work promoting USDA conservation programs to encourage conservation and reforestation in the Mississippi Delta
To support the Bridge to Soil Health Program by building a deeper and broader coalition to develop a greater, shared understanding of how agriculture impacts soil health and climate change in the Upper Mississippi River basin.
To fund programmatic work on Mississippi River health that highlights the potential benefits of federal funding and coordination to address nonpoint nutrient pollution reduction
To work with members, partners and River Citizens to advance state-level work aimed at reducing nutrient runoff in Illinois and Iowa and to orient grassroots support for Mississippi River conservation throughout the basin
To support bottomland hardwood forest restoration in the Mississippi Alluvial Valley and non-partisan research and education on the federal easement programs
