Support for grantee's initiatives in Indonesia to establish (1) Indonesia’s first collaborative fisheries management structure at the subnational level, using Blue Swimming Crab as the pilot species, and (2) a consensus-building effort to create support for rights-based fisheries management and reform in a viable and culturally-appropriate manner.
To complete planned riparian restoration treatment in the Verde River watershed and to incubate a groundwater banking institution to address threats to groundwater and streamflow depletion in the Verde River valley.
To continue work through the AGree partnership to better take advantage of federal agricultural subsidies, including crop insurance, to accelerate the adoption of conservation practices; particularly those related to cover crops, nutrient management and other practices that can improve water quality.
To support grantee's initiative to acquire and manage water rights for restoration projects throughout the Colorado River Delta, work with partner organizations to implement the Minute 323 agreement between Mexico and the U.S., continue development of capacity and governance for the grantee and its water trust functions, and complete restoration of 155 acres at the El Chausse restoration site.
To support grantee's initiative to engage markets to foster sustainable fishing practices; advance rights-based management for small scale fisheries; build the scientific capacity of the Ocean Institute of Peru (IMARPE); and help Peruvian fishing communities, industry and economies thrive.
