8th Street Gateway Park is a 110-acre park currently under construction in Bentonville. Planned as a major recreation destination in the city’s underserved western side, the park will be a new community hub including beginner-focused mountain bike trails, natural-surface trails, playgrounds, open green space, and community gathering areas. Its planning process incorporated robust community engagement to inform park amenities and connectivity. Located along 8th Street, the park is coordinated with transportation improvements in the corridor, including upgraded pedestrian crossings, separated bicycle facilities, improved roadway design, and new trail connections intended to enhance safety and multimodal access to the park and surrounding neighborhoods and trail networks.
