Morning Consult conducted a survey, on behalf of the Walton Family Foundation, on public attitudes about environmental protections in the Clean Water Act, as well as sentiment about water issues and who should set standards for water quality in the United States.
The poll found strong support among Americans for the Clean Water Act, with 75% in favor of protecting more waters and wetlands. It also showed Americans strongly prefer the federal government, through the Environmental Protection Agency, to maintain water standards in the country.
