This spring, more than 100,000 public schools across the country closed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. In response to this unprecedented wave of closures, teachers, principals and district leaders across the country have quickly formed plans to ensure that students continue learning.
This database, compiled by the Center on Reinventing Public Education, represents 100 districts, aiming for a range in size and geography, and serving nearly 10 million students. It includes the 30 largest districts in the country, members of the Council of the Great City Schools, smaller districts that participate in CRPE’s rural studies, and at least one district from otherwise unrepresented states.
