Most Gen Z students and their parents know little about postsecondary options beyond four-year college or paid work, according to a survey by Gallup, in partnership with the Walton Family Foundation and Jobs for the Future.
Students are nearly three times more likely to be interested in a pathway when they know at least “some” about it, the survey found. It also showed parents and teachers are students’ most trusted sources of guidance, but limited knowledge and experience can narrow the conversation.
