Railyard Park
Grantee: City of Rogers
Design Firm: Ross Barney Architects
This 4.6-acre park in downtown Rogers was formerly known as Frisco Park. As part of its Downtown Initiative Plan, the City of Rogers began the redesign of this critical yet disconnected space that bridges a railroad track into a downtown gateway and destination gathering place that includes an interactive water plaza, a performance stage, playgrounds, green space, and public art. The park opened in 2021.
Notably, it received the 2023 American Institute of Architects (AIA) Regional & Urban Design Award, recognizing excellence in urban design and community development. In addition, the park was honored with the 2022 Fast Company Innovation by Design Award in the Urban Design category, celebrating its creative approach to revitalizing downtown Rogers.
