Meeting the Needs of Students and Families
The Walton Family Foundation will distribute $500,000 to Little Rock nonprofit organizations addressing the greatest needs of local students through the Community Support Grant Program.

Little Rock Survey Results

Impact Management Group conducted a survey of 667 residents of Little Rock, Arkansas, to understand the greatest priorities and needs of local students in this COVID-19 era. Respondents reported a variety of challenges and obstacles, and said resources related to tutoring, reading and math instruction and extra support for parents would be most helpful.

63% of families are concerned that their students are falling behind without traditional classroom instruction, including 40% that are very concerned.


Little Rock Graphic Math Reading
Math was by far the top rated subject of concern, especially among families with students in middle and high school.

Overall, the top obstacle facing K through 12 students, as identified by their parents/guardians, was the lack of tutoring or one-on-one teaching.
