Amy Saltzman
Amy Saltzman is a senior program lead for the Walton Family Foundation’s Environment Program, where she leads the Water Governance and Legal Protection initiatives. She focuses on advancing modern water governance and strengthening the policies and institutions that protect and manage water resources. Previously, Amy led the Mississippi River initiative, aligning policy and market incentives to support sustainable agriculture.
Before joining the foundation, Amy was a senior program analyst at the International Food Policy Research Institute. She also held roles at the Rural Coalition and the U.S. Department of State and was a Fulbright fellow in Malawi.
Amy grew up on a farm in southwest Iowa, where her family has been farming for more than 150 years. She received a Master of Public Administration from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University.
