Bre’Anna Brooks is a program officer with the Walton Family Foundation’s Environment Program, where she focuses on strengthening governance and advancing durable protections for water resources. Her work centers on bringing together partners across sectors to support coordinated approaches that connect systems, policy and on-the-ground outcomes.

Before joining the foundation, Bre’Anna worked at the Chesapeake Bay Trust, where she led state and watershed-scale efforts to restore waterways and expand community-led conservation, shaping her approach to advancing solutions that are both locally grounded and systemically informed.

She holds a master’s degree in environmental science and policy from Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
