Evy Valencia
Evy Valencia is a Senior Program Officer with the Education Program’s Catalytic Communities initiative, which is focused on supporting community-driven educational change across the country.
Prior to joining the foundation, Evy was the chief of staff for 50CAN, where she helped support a national network of education advocacy campaigns. Prior to 50CAN, she was a fellow with the Gates Family Foundation, where she supported the launch of new innovation projects in Denver. Evy also previously served as a Senior Policy Advisor to Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper, focusing on education, human services and workforce. She has also held several roles in community organizing and advocacy.
Evy graduated with a B.A, in Women and Gender Studies, Ethnic Studies and Political Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
