Morgan Snyder

Senior Program Officer, Environment Program

Morgan Snyder is a senior program officer with the Walton Family Foundation’s Environment Program, where he directs an impact-first investment fund to scale nature-based solutions. His work focuses on deploying catalytic, concessionary capital in alignment with the foundation’s environmental goals to drive climate resilience and adaptation at scale.

Morgan brings more than 20 years of experience in natural resource policy, water management and conservation finance. He has led efforts to protect rivers in the American West and advance reforestation in the Mississippi Alluvial Valley, while aligning public, private and philanthropic capital to support conservation outcomes.

He holds a master’s degree in international freshwater policy from Uppsala University’s Department of Peace and Conflict Research and a bachelor’s degree in environmental conservation and restoration from Sonoma State University. Raised in Santa Cruz, California, he now lives with his family in the Washington, D.C. area.
