The Walton Family Foundation worked with the Survey Research Laboratory of Mississippi State University on the third Northwest Arkansas Quality of Life Survey Report to measure the impact of its efforts to improve the quality of life in Northwest Arkansas. The purpose of the study is to benchmark progress in four strategic areas: economic development and infrastructure; arts and cultural amenities; education and initiatives that enhance the sense of place. The foundation works to position the region as a national leader in these areas while improving access to opportunity in the region where Sam and Helen Walton first found opportunity.
