A new Gallup-Walton Family Foundation survey shows that teachers who regularly use AI tools save an average of 5.9 hours per week, adding up to six full weeks of reclaimed time each school year. Most educators using AI say it improves the quality of their work and frequent users are also more optimistic about its impact on student engagement. Yet, the benefits are unevenly distributed. While 32% of teachers use AI at least weekly and gain the greatest time savings, 40% do not. As usage grows, so does the opportunity to maximize AI’s value across classrooms and entire schools.
