On September 23, nearly 4,000 students from across New Orleans gathered to talk openly about the scourge of youth violence — and to come together to press for an excellent education and a better life. The Rally for Excellence was organized by InspireNOLA and was sponsored by the Walton Family Foundation.
The Walton Family Foundation is proud to announce a $25 million investment in the KIPP Foundation to double the number of students attending KIPP public charter schools across the country, enabling the organization to expand to serve 59,000 students by 2015. By expanding access to high-quality educational options for families in underserved communities across the United States, KIPP is helping to transform public education in our nation.
